Last evening PB Girls Dine enjoyed a truly magnificent dining experience at the well-known Charley’s Crab Palm Beach. Set on Ocean Boulevard in beautiful Palm Beach, we arrived for an early dinner at this landmark restaurant. We were greeted by a charming hostess who escorted us to a window table overlooking the ocean, and Manager Norma Meyer stopped by our table to say “hello.”
Our server, Ryan, was excellent. We enjoyed chilled Pinot Grigio and nibbled at home-made breads, while observing palm trees sway in the breeze and dare devils para-gliding close to shore. After finishing a glass of fine wine, Ryan was immediately at hand with a refill. The entire evening’s service was sublime.
Starters on the Dinner Menu were lovely. Some of the selections included a stone crab appetizer, oysters on the half shell, crab and avocado timbale and charred octopus. We opted for the New England clam chowder, which was delightfully filled with fresh clams and potatoes!
For entrées, we chose the seasonal Applejack Sea Bass. This perfectly prepared fish was sautéed in a sweet bourbon reduction with apples and sun-dried cherries and served with a wild rice risotto. We guarantee that you will be talking about this superb creation by Chef Michael, and highly recommend it. We classify this dish as “one of the best we’ve ever had!”
The delectable Bayou Fisherman’s Stew, also a seasonal dish, was a rich tomato and andouille stew loaded with shrimp, scallops, fish and crawfish, served with jasmine rice.
We enjoyed a picture-perfect flan for dessert. However, the dessert tray was extremely tempting with flourless chocolate cake and key lime pie!
Charley’s Crab Palm Beach is one of the finest around — from ambiance, cuisine, setting and stunning decor. The restaurant is a member of the Landry’s restaurant group. PB Girls Dine suggests you join the Landry’s Select Club and head over for a memorable evening at Charley’s Crab!
